I had significant performance problems with the mod activated. After removing the server side mods from the list of Complex Doom mods. Loading the sever side mods will cause GZDoom to crash. Surprisingly enough, Complex Doom does run at fast speeds. The mod is unbalanced, doesn't mean the mod is unplayable or unbeatable. I always thought Complex Doom was plain over the top, until I noticed the difficulty level of the mod. This problem can be considered a graphics driver problem. Changing to window mode, I was able to load the Brutal Doom mod. GZDoom would segmentation fault, then crash to the desktop. I used a older version of Brutal Doom, and the same problem as before. The software renderer does not increase the frame rate on slower computers. Changing to the software renderer will disable the special effects. The slower frame rates will cause the mod to be considered unplayable. These special effects will slow down the computer significantly. Brutal Doom 64 runs even slower, because Brutal Doom 64 includes bright maps, and lighting effects. I recommend reducing all graphics options in GZDoom to the lowest settings. You would be able to track your game time if you launched the Doom games using the Good Old Games store client or the Steam client.
